Chasing My Tail.

Christmas is now definitely on the horizon. I have commission work to finish, workshops to run and I have to try and get enough stock together to sell at the three Christmas fairs I am doing. I often ask myself the question, "Helen, why do you take on so much?". Maybe its something to do with the fact I find it hard to say "No".
Also added into that equation is the fact my partner Joe, has said he wants to finish work and take early retirement. Something maybe to do with the fact that he works in the public sector and as money has been cut over the years, he, as with many others are expected to do more and more and I suspect he has reached breaking point. So, he will finish full time work and look for something part time as we still have a mortgage and two dependents and I will carry on doing what I love and try to build my business even further. Two things I would ideally love, more space and a bigger kiln......anybody out there got any ideas?

The fairs I am doing this year are.....

12th and 13th November, St James Park, Newcastle.
19th and 29th November, The Hearth at Horsley.
26th November, Gallery 45, Felton.

I've been doing quite a lot of commission work lately. One job that came in was from a London based company wanting their logo put onto a piece of glass. This meant getting their logo onto a silk screen and printing it, something I hadn't done much of before but they were very happy with the results.
