A Trip Away.

How lovely it was to get away and play. I had booked myself along with a friend on a course at Warm Glass in Bristol to spend two days screen printing onto glass.

We booked ourselves into a beautiful B&B in Lowerstock. The B&B was also  a working farm so Wednesday  morning was spent exploring, in the beautiful sunshine, some of the grounds before getting down to the warm glass center to start work.

We used enamels and photographic images to print onto the glass . The results were really good. It's a very economical way of getting multiple images onto glass. We also used glass powders,(a dry method) pushing them with a squeegee through a stenciled screen . Then finished off with some sand blasting.

I treated myself to a very nice glass cutter which was then confiscated  at security when flying back. I had forgotten, well really I didn't realise, "No tools in the cabins". Oh well, think I will order another through the post and will start looking on Ebay for a screen and squeegee.
